AutoPulse setup guide

How to use AutoPulse

AutoPulse watches an important status change, waits for the time you choose, then checks that the expected next item exists.

Before you start

  • You need permission to install monday.com apps in your account.
  • You need a source board with a status column, such as Deal Stage.
  • You need a target board where the next item should appear, such as Onboarding.
  • The target board should have a name or text column that can match the source item.
  • You can use an existing incident board or create one from AutoPulse.

Example watchdog

Deals to onboarding

When Deal Stage becomes Won, wait 30 minutes, then check Onboarding by Source Deal.

Missing onboarding item

AutoPulse creates one incident with what happened, what was expected, and what to fix next.

Create your first watchdog

1

Open the AutoPulse board view

Add AutoPulse Watchdog to the monday.com board you want to monitor.

2

Choose the trigger

Select the source board, trigger column, and trigger value. Example: Deal Stage becomes Won.

3

Choose when to check

Select how long AutoPulse should wait before checking the target board.

4

Choose the expected item

Select the target board and the column AutoPulse should use to find the matching item.

5

Choose incident settings

Select the incident board, severity, and optional notification recipients.

6

Activate and test

Click Activate watchdog, then use Test or change an item to the watched status.

Understand an incident

An AutoPulse incident tells you:

  • What changed on the source board.
  • What item AutoPulse expected to find.
  • Which board and column AutoPulse checked.
  • How many times the issue happened.
  • The next step to fix the issue.

After the missing item is created or the issue is no longer relevant, click Resolve or Ignore in AutoPulse.

Use the dashboard widget

Add AutoPulse Health to a monday.com dashboard to see healthy watchdogs, open incidents, failed checks this week, and the latest check time.
